This 4G IoT Gateway is a SIM-card-based data concentrator that bridges battery-powered sub-GHz sensor nodes to a cloud backend without any on-site network infrastructure. It aggregates measurements from wireless sensors over a 470 MHz radio link (frequency customizable) with -136 dBm receive sensitivity and more than 5 km line-of-sight range, then forwards the data to a backend server over a 4G LTE cellular connection — no Ethernet cabling, no local broadband provisioning, just power and a SIM card. The gateway auto-routes traffic through repeaters to extend coverage across obstructed or large sites and connects through the cellular network regardless of whether the deployment site has its own Internet access. Beyond data collection, it acts as a network controller: it wirelessly configures sensor parameters such as sampling interval and auto-report, synchronizes node clocks, sets node geolocation, and drives 4-channel relay terminals for open/close and timed control via documented command frames. Configuration is handled through a browser console accessible over the cellular link — set the remote server IP, port, or domain, manage APN and cellular network settings, and log in to monitor the device; a reset button restores factory defaults. Powered by an external 5V DC supply, housed in a 110 × 80 × 26 mm enclosure, and rated for -40 to 80°C, it untethers environmental monitoring from wired networks — ideal for remote meteorological stations, scattered cold-chain sites, off-grid energy facilities, roadside storage, and any distributed deployment where pulling Ethernet cable or provisioning local broadband is impractical.
